iPhone 6 is scheduled for launch on September 9 but people are already lining up outside Apple’s subterranean flagship store on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. For the last couple of years it has become a regular sight of people camping outside the Apple stores to be the first to get their hands on the next iteration of iPhone.
However not all are diehard fans of Apple products. Mr. A is here because last time when the iPhone 5C was launched he made a cool $500 by trading places with a genuine iPhone fan. This year he hopes to get $1000, after adjusting for inflation.
Another couple somberly waits for the D Day. They have never missed a launch right from 2009 when the iPhone 3 was launched. There are a couple of boys who are competing with their friends on how many days they have waited before they could get their hands on the iPhone. The record happens to be 17 days which the boys are planning to break by waiting for 20 days.
Then there are people who represent their sponsors like VideoMedicine—a telemedicine app which will be launched simultaneously on both Apple and Android devices on September 9th.
There are some pretty caustic comments from a few also. A very enthusiastic fan laments, Apple always claims to launch the next generation of smartphones but in the end it happens to launch the same stuff with some trivial changes. He said that wireless charging must be present in the iPhone 6 or he will be very disappointed.
There is this person whom you can find at every launch. He is not a fan of any particular company but wants to get his hand on as many devices as possible to resell and make a cool profit. Not a bad idea since the wait is very entertaining and enjoyable. Make hay while the sun shines.
We will keep you updated whether or not these guys succeeds to buy the iPhone 6 on September 9 launch date.
