Major credit card companies may team up with Apple for mobile payments. Visa, MasterCard, American Express are all expected to join the team with Apple for the payment platform supported by Apple iOS.
Through iTunes, Apple is already having nearly a million credit cards info on their file. However Apple needs to get into partnership with the credit card companies in order to process the payments to strengthen their relationship with the retailers.
There have been reports that all the major credit card issuers have been looking to develop an easier mobile payment platform for their customers for a long time now. Seems like the easiest way to accomplish their aim for mobile payment gateway is by teaming up with the Apple and their iOS platform.
On September 9, Apple is going to unveil their next iPhone which is expected to feature NFC. The NFC along with their already existing finger print recognition TOUCH ID technology will help to securely process the payment through their so called mobile wallet platform.
Although Google already supports a mobile wallet platform, but with the entry of Apple, it is expected that the standards of mobile wallet may go much higher.
Apple’s mobile wallet platform is expected to be announced next week on the same stage where Apple is going to launch iPhone 6.
