Breakfast is the most important meal on any day. This is what we were told since the beginning. But now a new research data published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has challenged everyone’s belief and suggested that breakfast as the top most important meal of the day is just a myth.
The researchers have compared the health level of the participants who were having breakfast to those who were skipping the breakfast. The researchers have found no major differences in the health of the individuals who were skipping the breakfast compared to those who were eating it.
We have gone through many studies in the past on similar research. Some researchers in the past have concluded that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Some has even gone on to suggest that skipping breakfast may lead to cardiovascular issues.
However, the critics of the recently published study points out that the study published was done for a short period of time and to analyze the changes of internal health, it needs time. They say that skipping breakfast for a long-term is not a good strategy and may result in health issues.
Whatever the study says, let us not skip the breakfast and maintain a healthy diet, at least until the study gets support by some more concrete evidence.
