The Health Ministry has declared that every precaution is being taken to ensure proper care and treatment is delivered to the affected charity worker. The person who has been hit by Ebola virus is a charity worker, trying to help the victims affected by Ebola in West Africa.
Dr John Watson from the Britain’s National Health Service said, ‘‘[we are] assessing the situation to ensure that appropriate care is delivered.”
Dr Watson also said, “We have robust, well-developed and well-tested NHS systems for managing unusual infectious diseases when they arise, supported by a wide range of experts.”
Dr Watson also mentioned that the citizens of Britain need not to worry about Ebola as the risk of Ebola Virus reaching England is ”very low.”
This is the first officially known case regarding a British Citizen affected by Ebola virus. Until now, Ebola is limited to Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leon and Nigeria.
World Health Organization (WHO) has already confirmed over 1,350 deaths caused due to Ebola of which 576 deaths were reported from Liberia alone.
However, the Briton who was affected by Ebola virus is expected to be flown back to London for quality treatment.
