Apple has just released its latest updates to its network partners. Apple has already started work on the next iteration of iOS 8.0.1 which will tackle a host of issues which has been plaguing the devices which are running on iOS 8. Apple is yet to announce a release date for iOS 8.0.1, sources say that it will happen very soon.
iOS 8.0.1 will bring with it a fix for the Quicktype keyboard. The fix will also take care of “an issue with keypad not appearing to enter iCloud Keychain verification codes”.
The update will also take care of the Safari Glitch also. The native browser is unable to play some videos and will also fix the issue which prevented users from installing VPN profiles.
iOS 8.0.1 is also expected to take care of glitches in the Phone app and Airdrop features. The update is a big one so it could also include fix for WiFi and battery issues which has been plaguing since iOS 8 was released last Wednesday.
Regardless of the problems, the iOS 8 adoption has been rather quick with 46 percent of iDevices users already running the latest Apple mobile operating system. This is in stark contrast to iOS 7 which had hit 43 percent of iPhones and iPads this time last year. The work on the iOS 8.0.1 had started before the rollout of the iOS 8 last week.
Apple had released the iOS 8 on September 17 two days ahead of its new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Apple for the first time used its own CDN to deliver the update this year.
