The person identified as James Neisler claims that the Correctional Healthcare Companies did not provide him the adequate treatment as required.
James Neisler, the 47-year-old financial adviser is currently serving 2 year probation for 2 different wrongdoings (Drunken driving, Domestic violence).
The Denver Post reports that Neisler was working in jail kitchen when he accidentally suffered from a broken blister on his right toe because an ill-fitting shoe he worn. He claims that although he requested the jail authorities for better medical treatment numerous times the officials ignored his request, in spite of the fact that he is a diabetic. Every time he asked for an immediate medical attention because of the oozing blisters, he only received a response to be patient and an appointment will be scheduled soon. The medical staff waited for a month to take him to the hospital.
James Neisler is seeking for the damages of mental and physical suffering he has went through because of lack of medical attention.
An emotional Neisler said, “I go into jail with 10 toes and come out with five.”
The deposition will begin this week.
