Kraft Food Group has announced that they are recalling their product American Singles Cheese slices.
The decision was taken because Kraft Foods came to know that one of the suppliers of this cheese has not stored the Kraft American Singles Cheese slices at the recommended storage temperature. Thus the consumers are at risk of suffering from the possible allergic reactions if the slices of the cheese got contaminated with the bacteria because of not following the safety standards.
It is said that Kraft is recalling over 7700 cases of the Singles Cheese slices.
Kraft has issued an advisory which suggests that consumers should have a look at the ”Best When Used By” date option present at the bottom of the package. If it is printed as February 21, 2015 or February 20, 2015 then consumers are advised to return the package.
Consumers will get a full refund on returning the Kraft American Singles cheese slices package if their expiry date is mentioned as above. Kraft Food group also mentioned that so far no one was reported suffering from any form of allergic reaction due to their cheese.
For futher information and safety guidelines, consumers are advised to dial 1-800-396-5512, the toll-free Kraft Consumer Relations phone number.
