Buckingham palace denied two times Prince Andrew’s involvement in the sexual abuse case. A woman in Florida accused Queen Elisabeth’s second son, of having forced her to have sex with him when she was a minor. According to her court filling, the prince wasn’t the only one involved.
Friday, Buckingham palace denied the accusations the woman had made in the court documents from Florida. She claimed that when she was a minor she had been forced by financier Jeffrey Eptstein to have sex with several men, including Prince Andrew, the second son of Queen Elisabeth. Other name mentioned by the woman were: the famous American attorney Alan Dershowitz.
The attorney said that he has a strong team of lawyers fighting against the sexual allegations made against him in Florida’s federal court. The accusations come from a woman who is named in the filing as Jane Doe #3, but her name was mentioned in several British newspapers and also when referring to her, the Buckingham Palace called her Virginia Roberts.
Alan Dershowitz had been Epstein’s attorney in a criminal sex abuse case, six years ago. Jeffrey Epstein did jail time for state charges but with no federal prosecution. The court filling made last week contains the declarations of several women who claim to have been abused by Epstein.
Sunday, the Buckingham Palace denied for the second time Prince Andrew’s involvement in the sexual abuse and a spokesman of the palace said that the allegations are false and have no foundation.
Alan Dershowitz told Reuters who are the big names of attorneys from his team, Thomas Scott, former federal judge and former US Florida attorney, Kendall Coffey also former US Florida attorney plus lawyers from Boston, New York and London, whose names he didn’t reveal. Dershowitz claims that all the accusations brought against him were untrue and that the lawyers who had filed them, attorney Brad Edwards from Florida and Utah University law professor, Paul Cassell were aware they were false. Also, he added that the allegations were unfair because they were made in a court case where he was not present, denying his right to a direct answer.
“It is not unethical to provide legal representation to the victim of international sex trafficking ring and to believe in the allegations such a victim makes – even when those allegations are made against powerful people,” said Edwards and Cassell.
The victim’s father, Sky Roberts was mentioned in the Daily Mail, saying that his daughter had met the Queen while she was in London with Epstein. Buckingham Palace firmly denied the Queen having met the woman, saying that they have no record of this meeting.
Saturday, British newspapers published an older picture of Prince Andrew holding the woman by the waist. At that time the woman was 17 years old.
In Great Britain the age of consent is 16, but in the United States and other countries it is 18.
