Netflix has postponed an upcoming comedy special ‘Bill Cosby 77’ after three women alleged that the performer had drugged and then raped the three women. Netflix has decided to halt airing a new Bill Cosby special after three women alleged that the comedian had raped them after drugging them.
‘Bill Cosby’ was to be premiered on November 27th before Netflix announced it was postponing the show Tuesday after a third woman also charged the comedian had drugged and raped her.
Netflix has not revealed why it is postponing the comedy special. It has also not revealed the future dates for airing the comedy special.
NBC is also under similar pressure to cancel an upcoming sitcom starring the comedian.CBS has also not revealed the fate of the upcoming 2015 series.
Cosby was publicly accused by comedian Hannibal Buressas as a rapist during a stand-up gig in Philadelphia last month. Subsequently 3 women accused the comedian of sexual assault.
Former supermodel Janice Dickinson claimed Cosby raped her in 1982.The incident happened in 1982 during a trip to Lake Tahoe when Cosby gave her wine and a pill which made her unconscious. The super model said she woke up the next morning and remembered being sexually assaulted before she passed out.
Well known Publicist Joan Tarshis claimed Cosby attacked her a decade earlier. Joan accused Cosby of having lured her into his home in 1969 and after drugging and forcing her to perform fellatio on him. Barbara Bowman was the first woman who accused Cosby of having raped her in 1985 inside his New York City brownstone. A fourth woman made a similar accusation against Cosby in Facebook. The post was however deleted subsequently.
Cosby has been accused of sexual assault though none of the accusation has been tested in court.
