Cadillac is always careful about its looks and this time it seems like the new Cadillac CTS-V will not disappoint Caddy buyers. The car will only be launched in the late summer of next year, but the car will soon attended its first parade. The presentation of the back wheel drive extravagance sports car comes next month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Cadillac will display the new generation CTS-V on January 13.
According to statements made by the automaker, Cadillac managed to successfully mix the superior performance of its CTS-V with extravagance to make an auto that is easy to drive daily and offers rankling execution at the track.
The carmaker has disclosed the 2016 CTS-V and the company talks of the ‘new girl’ as the most potent item in its 112-year history.
The car is to have a 640hp motor delivering 630 lb-ft of torque. The auto is set to have a 200mph top speed thanks to the huge V8 motor’s push. So, the car will be equipped with another supercharged 6.2l V8 motor paired with a 8-velocity programmed transmission. That transmission will offer dispatch control and Performance Algorithm Shifting for enhanced execution. According to Cadillac, the car is going to be able to reach 60mph in 3.7 seconds.
The skeleton of the auto has been track sharpened with chassis and suspension changes to run with all the force in the engine. The auto will also receive a standard carbon fiber hood and accessible carbon fiber vent, front splitter, back spoiler, and back diffuser.
The suspension is a third generation Magnetic Ride Control, while the brakes are Brembo. The degree of structural firmness has been expanded by 25% and the auto gallops on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
The seat- high class Recaro- are accessible on the car together with a front control view cam to secure the low front splitter. Performance Data Recorded, already seen on the Corvette Stingray, will also accompany the 2016 CTS-V. So far only a four door prototype has been revealed and the cost of the new car has not been made public yet. Only a few hours after the specs of the new 2016 CTS-V Sedan were revealed, Cadillac also showed some digital specs of the coupe. According to the carmaker, both the Sedan and Coupe models are to reach dealerships sometime at the end of next summer.
